Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Relentless Research LLC (“Pact”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) — the limited liability company that owns and operates Pact — collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Pact application and related services (the “Service”).
1. Information We Collect
- Account & profile information: name, email, date of birth, gender, height, weight, photos, location, fitness goals and preferences, and match preferences you provide.
- Legal acceptance records: whether and when you confirmed you are 18+ and accepted our Terms & Conditions and Liability Waiver, and the document version.
- Usage & device information: app activity, device identifiers, and diagnostic data.
- Location information: approximate or precise location, where you allow it, to power discovery and matching.
- Health & fitness data: the workouts and results you log in Pact (exercises, sets, reps, weights, scores, and session notes) and body metrics such as height and weight. Only if you grant permission, Pact also reads your completed workout records (activity type, duration, distance, calories, and start time) from Apple Health (iOS) or Health Connect (Android). This access is read-only — Pact does not write data back to Apple Health or Health Connect.
2. How We Use Information
We use your information to operate, maintain, and improve the Service; create and manage your account; provide matching, messaging, and accountability features; generate fitness programs and recommendations; keep records of legal acceptance; ensure safety and prevent fraud and underage use; and comply with legal obligations.
3. How We Share Information
- With other users: profile details you choose to make visible are shown to other members for matching and social features.
- With service providers: vendors that host, process, or support the Service under confidentiality obligations.
- For legal and safety reasons: when required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Pact, our users, or the public.
We do not sell your personal information, use it to track you across other apps or websites, or share it with third parties for their own advertising.
4. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements (including retaining proof of age and legal acceptance).
5. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your information, and to control location and notification permissions through your device settings. You can request account deletion in the app or by contacting us.
6. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Children
The Service is for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected information from a minor, we will delete it.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time and will revise the version and effective date above. Material changes may be communicated in the app.
9. Apple Health and Health Connect
With your permission, Pact reads completed workout records from Apple Health (HealthKit) on iOS and Health Connect on Android so that training you record in other apps is reflected in your Pact log, stats, and accountability streaks. This access is read-only — Pact does not write to Apple Health or Health Connect. We use health and fitness data only to provide the Service to you; we do not use it for advertising or marketing, and we do not sell it or share it with third parties for advertising, data-mining, or any purpose unrelated to operating the Service. You can turn this access off at any time in your device's Health (iOS) or Health Connect (Android) settings, and you can remove your Pact data by deleting your account.
